The details, clearly explained
Privacy Policy
Last updated September 25, 2026
Cuepid AI is a dating assistant for adults. This policy explains the information used by our app and website, what we store, and what our service providers process.
Who operates Cuepid AI
Cuepid AI is operated by Hüseyin Koçer, who is responsible for the processing described here. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected]. See our Impressum for provider contact information.
Account and sign-in information
You sign in with Apple or Google. We verify the identity token supplied by your chosen provider and store the provider name, its identifier for your account, and an email address when the provider supplies one. An Apple private relay address may be used. We assign an internal Cuepid account ID and keep account creation and update times. Cuepid does not receive your Apple or Google password.
We issue session and refresh tokens to keep you signed in. The app keeps its session on your device and a profile copy in memory; the backend stores a hash of the refresh token with its expiry information.
For Sign in with Apple, we also exchange Apple's temporary authorization code on our server and store an encrypted Apple refresh token so we can revoke Cuepid's sign-in authorization when you delete your account. Apple authorization codes and unencrypted Apple tokens are not saved in our database or written to application logs.
Your profile and preferences
We store your selected persona, tone preferences, age range, gender, optional gender self-description, and dating targets. We also store your onboarding card choices, preference scores, card-set version and completion time. These help personalize suggestions. Gender, dating targets, and the content you submit may reveal sensitive information, including sexual orientation or details of your private life.
Device, usage and security information
The app creates an installation ID and a hashed device identifier using the iOS vendor identifier or Android identifier, with the installation ID as a fallback. We receive these identifiers and your platform, and associate them with a random server device token and your account to enforce free-use eligibility. We store whether and when the free analysis was used, and usage and session timestamps.
Our server receives your IP address to handle connections and limit excessive requests. A shortened hash derived from the IP address helps limit new device registrations from the same network. We also store daily analysis counts against a hash of the subscription customer identifier to apply usage limits. Hashing does not make these identifiers anonymous.
We also keep AI usage records linked to your account to understand service usage, estimate operating costs and diagnose failures. These include the request time, model, usage tier, analysis mode, image count, token counts when available, duration, outcome and request identifiers. These records do not contain your submitted text, screenshots, profile preferences or generated replies.
AI processing
Cuepid uses a third-party AI service provider to process the content and personalization information described below.
Current AI processing provider: OpenAI.
When you request an analysis, the chat or dating-profile text, screenshots, and optional context you submit pass through our backend to the AI provider. We also send the analysis mode and goal, persona and tone instructions, and your saved age range, gender, optional self-description, and dating targets to personalize the result. The provider returns analysis, profile feedback, or reply suggestions, which our backend streams to the app.
Before the first analysis, the app asks you to agree to this processing by the AI provider. You can decline. Your agreement, its version, your account ID and the acceptance time are saved locally so a material change or account change can require permission again. You can review this information and revoke the saved permission in Settings. Revoking permission prevents future analysis requests on this device until you agree again; it cannot undo processing that has already occurred.
Messages and screenshots may contain personal information about you and other people, including names, photos and sensitive details. Submit only content you are entitled to share, and remove unnecessary identifying or sensitive information before sending it. Cuepid receives the content you choose to submit; it does not connect to your dating app accounts or automatically read their conversations.
The analysis service processes submitted content and generated replies during the request without saving them in Cuepid's database or an analysis history. Drafts, selected images and results may remain in the app's memory while you use the relevant screens. Images selected on your device and anything you copy to your clipboard remain subject to your device's storage and clipboard controls.
For our current provider, OpenAI, we request that generated responses are not saved for later retrieval through its API. The provider has separate processing and retention rules: its default abuse-monitoring logs may contain inputs and outputs for up to 30 days, with longer retention for legal or safety reasons. Prompt caching and image safety review can also involve retention. This is not a promise of zero retention by the provider. See OpenAI's API data controls.
Subscriptions and RevenueCat
Apple or Google processes purchases through its store. Cuepid does not collect your payment card details. RevenueCat receives your Cuepid account ID as its app user ID and processes purchase history, transaction and subscription information to validate purchases, restore access, and provide subscription reporting. Our backend checks entitlement status and the original RevenueCat customer ID, with a short-lived cache, to manage paid access and usage limits. The app also caches access status locally.
The app does not send your analysis content or profile preferences to RevenueCat. For RevenueCat's processing, see its Privacy Policy.
Waitlist and support
If the waitlist is enabled and you join it, we store the email address and optional name you provide, your account identifier, platform and signup/update times to handle your request. If you contact support, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. Avoid sending private conversations or screenshots unless necessary to explain your issue.
Hosting, logs and other sharing
Our hosting and database providers process information needed to run Cuepid. Operational logs record request identifiers, request paths, status codes, timing and errors. Analysis logs include the model used, mode, number of images, output length, token usage, request duration and the AI provider's request ID. Subscription failures can include customer identifiers. Routine request logging excludes request bodies and authorization credentials. Hosting infrastructure may keep its own connection and security logs.
This website uses fonts already available on your device and serves its images and other assets from the website itself. It does not load Google Fonts, set analytics or advertising cookies, or include tracking scripts. The website hosting provider still processes connection information, such as your IP address and requested pages, to deliver the site and maintain security. The website does not accept chat or profile submissions; analysis processing takes place through the app as described above.
We do not sell personal data or send it to advertising networks. Cuepid does not include advertising tracking or a separate product-analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Operational monitoring and RevenueCat's subscription reporting still process the information described above. Data may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud, abuse or a security incident.
Our service providers may process data outside Germany and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Provider locations and processing arrangements can differ by service. Contact us for information about the arrangements applying to your data.
Retention and account deletion
- Account data: we retain your account, authentication identity, profile and onboarding records while the account exists. Use Settings > Delete account to request removal. Once the request is accepted, access to the account ends and the app clears its saved session and profile preferences. We keep the account records and deletion progress while the server completes Apple authorization revocation, where applicable, and RevenueCat customer erasure. A temporary provider failure is retried. When those steps finish, we remove the account records, authentication credentials, deletion progress records and linked waitlist entry from the active database.
- Apple and RevenueCat: we revoke the Apple sign-in authorization held by Cuepid and request deletion of the RevenueCat customer associated with your account, including linked identifiers. Older Apple accounts may require you to sign in with Apple again to obtain the authorization needed for revocation. RevenueCat processes deletion asynchronously; we check for completion. If a provider's customer record appears to include another account, we pause the request for investigation so that another person's records are not erased. Contact support if your deletion cannot proceed. Store billing records remain with Apple or Google under their own rules.
- Device free-use protection: after deletion we keep the hashed device identifier, random server device token and free-use marker to prevent repeated free claims. We remove the deleted account association, clear the associated installation and platform details, and remove precise free-use and session times. This device-level record has no automatic expiry and can recognize the same device again; it is not anonymous. Deleting an account does not reset its free-use eligibility. The installation ID also remains on your device.
- AI usage records: we retain these records while your account exists, independently of the daily usage limits. They are removed with your account when account deletion completes. We stop adding usage records once a deletion request has been accepted.
- Network and daily-use limits: registration IP hashes are used for a 24-hour registration window and cleared after that window when cleanup next runs. The registration time also remains during that window, then is removed for a detached device record. Daily usage counters, including a hashed subscription customer identifier, remain for the current UTC day and are removed on the next cleanup after that day. Cleanup runs during authentication, paid analysis usage and account deletion. Records can remain longer if no such request occurs.
- Waitlist and support: waitlist records have no automatic expiry. Account deletion removes the entry linked to that account; you can also request removal by email. Support messages are handled separately from account deletion.
- Other records: the in-app deletion action does not automatically erase hosting logs, backups, or records already held by our AI processing provider, Apple or Google. These are subject to separate retention and deletion arrangements. Contact support for requests covering these records; we cannot promise immediate deletion of copies retained for legal or security purposes.
Deleting your Cuepid account does not cancel an active store subscription. Cancel through your Apple or Google subscription settings to stop future renewal. Deletion also does not delete your Apple or Google account.
Your choices and rights
We use account and subscription information to provide the service you request, preferences to personalize it, and usage and security records to protect the service and enforce access limits. We ask for your permission before sharing analysis data with our AI processing provider. You can change supported profile preferences in Settings, revoke AI permission, or delete your account.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact [email protected]. We may need information to verify your request. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, including the authority where you live or work. These rights also apply to other people whose information may appear in submitted content.
Adults only
Cuepid AI is intended only for people aged 18 and over. Do not submit content involving minors. If you believe a minor has provided data to Cuepid, contact support so we can investigate and address it.
Policy changes
We update the date above when this policy changes. Where a change requires renewed permission for AI processing, the app will ask again before an analysis. A policy update alone does not provide consent to new processing.
